About us
Kundan Ayurvedic Centre, 1974-
The late Dr. Kuldip Singh Kundan founded
the Kundan Ayurvedic Centre in 1974. And since its inception,
the Kundan Centre has focused on providing quality care and
specialized treatment for those suffering from chronic kidney
disease and other related ailments. In the years since Dr.
Kundan opened the clinic, medicine has developed many new
treatments to relieve the symptoms of those suffering from
chronic kidney disease.
Having followed in his father’s footsteps,
Dr. Balkar Singh Kundan graduated medicine in 1991, and later,
joined his father at the Centre in 1995. After interning and
doing research in several hospitals, Dr Balkar brings a wealth
of experience to the Centre. Dr. Balkar’s wife, Dr.
Gaganpreet has also joined the team at the Kundan Ayurvedic
Centre, and her dedication and love of medicine has played
a major role in making the Centre a haven of faith and trust.
Mission statement
Our mission at Kundan Ayurvedic Centre
is in focusing our physician’s specialized knowledge
on treating and curing patients of chronic kidney disease
— a disease we believe is curable.
Plant based ayurvedic medicine
There are two types of ayurvedic
medicines; plant based (kashadh aushadhi) ayurveda and metal/chemical
based (ras aushadhi) ayurveda. Chemical based medicine may
contain metal and could be harmful to kidneys. So, because
of this poor excretion of chemical based (ras aushadhi) ayurveda,
we always use plant based (kashadh aushadhi) medicine for
patients with kidney disease. We avoid metallic derivatives
and inorganic chemicals in all of our medicines.
We offer seminars to help spread the word
and make ayurvedic physicians aware of the dangers of chemical
based ayurvedic medicines. We always encourage the use of
natural herbal cures, and we always explain how herbal medicine
can change electrolyte balance, particularly for potassium
levels.
At Kundan Ayurvedic Centre, we’re knowledgeable
about the chemical composition of the herbs we use. Just a
few of the plants we use in extract form are Guduchi,
Kutki, Bhringraj,
Gokhru, and Tulsi.
